American University Instagram Concepts
In my time at 2U, Inc., I was given the opportunity to create new concepts of Instagram advertisements for the International Relations Online program at American University. I chose to design an overlay that paired striking copy on top of an equally strong photograph. The message in the ad is delivered right away and appeals to a young audience.
The photo I sourced from GettyImages of two young women taking a selfie at their graduation mimics behavior of the audience I was targeting. It also shows that despite being an online master's program, it is easy to make lasting connections by enrolling. Its minimalistic approach gets the point across quickly and its high level of contrast ensures that it won't be scrolled by.
